Without asking for any money in return, Avira gives you 5GB of cloud storage space, space that you can use to back up your important data. With Avira Secure Backup you can very easily specify which folders you want to back up and they will be quickly sent to the cloud where they are safe and sound. Once they're in the cloud, you can easily sync them across devices, access them from any device that can browse the web, and share them with others.

Avira Secure Backup is available for multiple platforms: Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X, Apple iOS, and Google Android.
The system requirements for running Avira Secure Backup on a Windows PC are: 1GHz processor or better, 1GB of RAM memory or more, at least 150MB of free disk space, admin rights, internet connection, web browser, Windows operating system (32 or 64-bit edition, anything from XP SP2 up to 8).

To get started with Avira Secure Backup you will have to create an account or sign in. If you don’t have an account, you can very easily sign up for a free one and get 5GB of free storage space. If you already have an account, just type in your credentials and you can log in.

There are three tabs in the upper right hand corner of the application’s interface:

Dashboard – this is the main panel that shows the status of your uploads, tells you how much storage space you’re using and how much free space you have left, allows you to share files with others, allows you to invite friends (you get 500MB of free space for every friend that signs up), and lets you browse through the folders and files you uploaded to the cloud.

Settings – from here you can choose which files and folders will be backed up to the cloud, you can select the backup speed, and you can launch the backup process.

My Account – create a new account, login with an existing account.

Here’s how things work with Avira Secure Backup. First up, you must tell the application which folders you want to be backed up. The application will do as instructed and back up the folders and files inside those folders. Then the Avira Secure Backup Crawler will run in the background and monitor the folders you specify. When you add a new file to a monitored folder, the file will be backed up automatically.

So as you can see, Avira Secure Backup provides an efficient means of backing up your important data. On top of that, the application allows you to access your data from any device that can browse the web, allows you to invite friends and thus earn more storage space, and lets you share files with others (the file is uploaded to the cloud, a link to the file is copied to the clipboard).

Avira Secure Backup is a free application. By getting a free account you enjoy 5GB of free storage space. By inviting friends, you can earn additional storage space. And by parting with a bit of your money, you can get 200GB of storage space.

Back up, sync, access, share data efficiently with the user friendly and properly good Avira Secure Backup.

Pros

Avira Secure Backup is available for multiple platforms: Windows, Mac OS X, iOS, Android. The system requirements for running the application on a Windows PC aren’t very high. A wizard will help you install, sign up, and specify which folders you want to be backed up to the cloud. Use Avira Secure Backup to back up data, sync data, share data with others. Once it is in the cloud, you can access your data from any browser-equipped device. You get 5GB for free; you can earn more by inviting friends (500MB per friend).

Cons

None that I could think of.
